Change Is A-Comin'

Well this has been very fun. The first month of being a YouTube partner has been a great success. I’ve been able to continue doing my daily vlogs, I’ve released my new show “Poor Man’s Meals,” I made an awesome custom Halloween costume, and things at work have been interesting to say the least.

Life at home is nice. Dad, Jennifer, and the girls are all doing well, as many of you have seen in my daily vlogs. Life at my apartment is quiet as all get out. Not too much happens aside from working on my projects and of course the expansion of my video game collection.

Recently, someone at work has put in a good word about myself and I now just might be up for a supervisor position. Now I just want to be clear, that even with this sort of work, it will not slow me down from producing new shows and videos for YouTube as that is my passion and as we all know, I do intend to have that as my full-time job by this time next year.

Not too much else to talk about right now. I’ll be back in a couple of weeks for more upgrades, but until then, follow me with my daily vlogs with the Invincilog on YouTube! Have a good one!

You're A What?

Much like was posted before, life as we know it is getting interesting.  So much has happened since the last post so let's have a little run down.

First of all, there's Genista.  Not really a subject that has been talked about in detail, but we are no longer together.  The two of us lead two very different lives and with everything going on, now is simply not the time.

On a more positive note however, yours truly has become a YouTube partner.  It came at quite a surprise.  I was minding my own business and discovered I had received an email from GMail, which is typically a comment or friend request from YouTube.  This time, however, it was an invitation for partner.  It was very exciting.  I can't wait to see what comes of it and my dream to become a full-time YouTuber is well underway.

That leads us to ACS.  Work is work.  Hundreds of calls every month, but nothing ever changes.  I truly am still trying to move up within the company as well, but sometimes all I can do is question the general direction they have moved in.  Now that we have a new General Manager, I'm hoping we can get back to where we were this time last year.  My main concern is with October 1st on it's way, how will the employees be impacted when our pay is based in the hands...of the callers.

With lots of new projects and exciting ideas happening, I'll be trying to keep the blog a little bit more up to date rather than only posting 1 blog every month.  I will be attempting to do a new blog every week, every 2 weeks at most.

September: Upgrade To Version 2.2

Ah, September is in the air and another birthday on it's way.  I'll be 22-years-old this month and so many things are happening in my life.

Life as we know it is interesting.  Genista and I have been together for over a year now and that is pretty sweet.  I've never been with anyone so long.  We'll certainly see where things take us.

Life at ACS is just plain, bleh.  I've been at ACS for almost 16 months now and I feel almost like I'm getting nowhere.  I feel like I do all I can but at the same time don't necessarily feel that it is giving back to me.  Have opportunities presented themselves to me?  Absolutely.  Have I taken advantage of all of them?  No...but at the same time I have tried to about 90% of the time.  For someone such as myself who can hold such a high rank and since January receive 113 surveys, but only fail 4 of them...I'd call that a valuable asset.

At the same time, we have videography.  Yes, I'm still putting a lot of resources into fulfilling my dream of being a full-time videographer, but it is an extremely slow process.  I've tried to get a few gigs doing some voice-overs...but to no avail.  My YouTube channel is still coming along, however, with lots of new ideas coming in everyday, I may be looking to start a new channel very soon.

And now my family.  My dad comes home from Iraq this month...and this time he's not going back.  It's a very exciting time because he is going to be re-stationed to Philadelphia.  From my understanding it's not exactly a base per say...Jennifer said there was no PX...no Commissary...that sort of thing.  We'll also, with any luck, see my dad don those birds on his collar, making him be rid of his oak leaves and become a full Colonel...that would be great.  Ironic how I can always remember Carlisle when he was a Captain and we had a Colonel living next door.  Dad always said he could become a Colonel in 15 years...Well it's 16 years later and his final assignment just might be back in PA...the irony is sweet.

But with everything going on and how happy I am for him, that leaves just one big thing...what happens next summer?  Dad will be re-stationed in January.  The girls will finish school but once it's over, they're gone.  My closest family will live over 3,000 miles away.  I will have no one here in Washington except for Genista and a few friends.  My 22nd year on Earth will be an interesting one...but all I can do is hope for the best, and let my life lead me in the right direction.

August 2011

Welcome back everybody!  It is now August and there are lots going on so lets get started.  First off...I am back in Washington.  I had a great vacation in Pennsylvania to visit my family, just wish it could have been longer.  I was able to finish an amazing 50 Year Anniversary tribute video for my grandparents for their anniversary, which turned out to be a great success.  Quite frankly, the success of the video has motivated me to focus on doing Invincible Productions full time so be on the look out for that as well.

Getting back to WA was difficult.  My flight was delayed again, but I realized that if I were to have flew to my original destination, I would have missed my flight home.  Getting a different flight with a different agency was a mistake as well however as my luggage got lost.  Luckily it arrived today and everything seems to be good.

Today is also mine and Genista's 1 year anniversary together.  Hard to believe indeed.  I've never been with anybody this long.  But it sure is nice.

Work is good as well.  The position I want is in the palm of my hand so we'll see what happens.

Welcome To My New Blog!

Hello everyone and welcome to my new blog!  Originally, I had a monthly blog on another website, but they decided they were gonna get sold for a whole ton of money less than what it was originally sold for and I deleted that account.  Regardless, here and tumblr is where my blogs will be going forward so let's start with a background...

My name is Joshua Beach.  I am 21-years-old and currently live in Lacey, WA.  I work at ACS, Inc., a call center for a national cell phone provider.  I have lived here in Washington for nearly 2 years.  I have a girlfriend named Genista and she is the best I have in my life right now.  My family currently lives in WA as well...that is until my dad finds out his new assignment.  See he's in the military and this time next year, I'll be the only one left in WA, so that's kind of nerve-racking.

I am also an independent film-maker.  I started a YouTube account back in 2006 and have been working hard to gain my part of the internet.  I have lots to offer on my channel such as "Mr. Invincible," "Josh's Vlog," and several other short films, but will be starting to expand and offer more shows in the coming future.

So this was just a little background of who I am.  Stay tuned until next time as I plan on getting back on track and doing a new blog every month if not sooner so be on the lookout!
